Reasons Why

Here is the explanation for the title of the blog. The seven girls is pretty obvious. There are six of us in this apartment, plus Erin is always over here (though still not so much as we should like). The polar bear shower curtain, though.... Well, it started over the summer, when we were thinking about different items we would need to buy for our new apartment. This resulted in sharing links to the most ridiculous bathroom sets that we could find. One of them had a beautiful arctic landscape with a giant polar bear mother and her cub taking up the majority of the foreground. This particular bathroom set sparked a deep desire within each of us to get a shower curtain decorated with a polar bear. However, time passed, and we neglected to get this particular shower curtain (thank heavens). Before we knew it, we found ourselves in our new apartment, and we needed to shower. We were forced to get a cheap, translucent plastic curtain from Walmart. Before using it, we were mourning the blatant lack of polar bear, until we realized that we had a Sharpie and an empty day, so why didn't we change this? We pulled up a picture of a polar bear from the internet, copied it large-scale onto the shower curtain with pen (harder than it sounds - props to Brie for this), and then outlined it in Sharpie. This is how we spent our first morning in our new apartment. This polar bear is now the pride and joy of the apartment.

And these are the kinds of things that we do. And that is why I wanted to share them.
